What does Officer Mailer do?

  Officer® (Officer) Mailer is a global outgoing SMTP mail service that delivers emails as reliably as possible. We constantly monitor our servers for problems and make sure we are not on any blacklists. Officer Mailer has built in spam detection and anti virus protection.

How do you maintain a high email deliverabiliity rate?

  We use domain keys, sender policy framework, multi-level throttling, and maintain high sender scores.

Will Officer Mailer prevent my emails from being blocked?

  Yes. The emails are sent from our servers, not from yours. Your servers are not exposed.

  How do we set up to use Officer Mailer?

  You sign up for an account using the email address you want to send emails from. After signing up, we will provide instructions for pointing your email program or application to our servers. Your email program must be capable of SMTP authentication.

Can I use my email address with Officer Mailer?

  Yes, if you have an existing email account that you would like to use, you can do that.

Can I use multiple email addresses for sending emails?

  Yes. You can use any number of email addresses for sending emails.

Can I use my email server / domain with Officer Mailer?

  Yes. We accept emails from your server / domain and then send them out.

Do I need to have an email account?

  Your Officer Mailer account comes with an email address that you can use for receiving and sending emails. However, if you have an existing email account that you would like to use, you can do that as well.

Which Internet connections does Officer Mailer work with?

  Officer Mailer can be used with the vast majority of Internet connections including most broadband, corporate networks and mobile Internet connections. Sometimes there may be issues with ISPs blocking certain ports. We always allow you time to test out whether Officer Mailer will work in your environment, risk free.

What programs and applications does Officer Mailer work with?

  Officer Mailer is compatible with most of the email programs / applications that support SMTP authentication. We always allow you time to test out whether Officer Mailer will work in your environment, risk free.

Are my emails secured with Officer Mailer?

  Yes. We use SSL for all the interfaces.

How do I find out about the status of my email delivery?

  We provide real-time statistical reporting for the status of your email delivery. We provide the cause for each failure so you can remove the failing emails from your list.

What is SMTP authentication?

  SMTP authentication is where your email program connects to an SMTP server and sends a username and password to authenticate and allow you to send emails through that server.

How does Officer Mailer detect incoming spam emails?

  Officer Mailer has in-built spam detection and anti virus protection.  All incoming emails are filtered through SPAM detection before delivering to your mail box.

Do you put your company logo in my emails?

  No. Its all about you - we don't put our logo on the bottom of your emails.

What do I get in the free trial?

We provide an online account that gives you complete access to Officer Mailer. Free trial accounts are limited to sending 2 emails per day for 30 days and a storage limit of 1 GB.

What do I get when I signup?

  We provide an online account that gives you complete access to Officer Mailer. Paid accounts are subject to the limitations defined for the subscribed package.

Do you offer telephone support?

  Yes, we do when needed. A majority of our customers do not require telephone support. We provide contact forms on our website and within the application so you can reach us with questions and / or comments. as needed.
